Nuovo server e nuova versione di Community Server!!!

Da qualche giorno ormai, UgiMobile.org "gira" su un nuovo server! A beneficiarne sono innanzitutto le prestazioni, visibilmente migliorate, a cui si aggiunge una maggiore stabilità dell'applicazione ed una migliorata navigabilità del sito.
Contestualmente allo spostamento del server, abbiamo aggiornato anche la versione di Community Server, portando ora la piattaforma alla versione 2008.
Il lavoro è stato abbastanza lungo e non privo di insidie ma adesso sembra essere tutto perfettamente funzionante.
Qualora doveste riscontrare qualche errore, vi preghiamo di segnalarcelo all'indirizzo stagg@ugimobile.org .

Emulator Images per Windows Mobile 6.1

Poco dopo l'annuncio della nuova release di Windows Mobile, sono state rese disponibili sul download center, le immagini degli emulatori per Windows Mobile 6.1.
Il download si compone da due file distinti:

Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Images (USA).msi (272.2 MB)
Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Images (USA).msi (184,9 MB)

Annunciato ufficialmente Windows Mobile 6.1

E' stata annunciata ieri, la nuova versione di Windows Mobile, giunto ormai alla versione 6.1.
Tra le novità di questa nuova versione, troviamo:

la home screen ridisegnata, che permette una navigabilità migliore ed una organizzazione delle informazioni più congruente
task manager intergato
visualizzazione a thread degli SMS
miglioramenti al browser, che consentiranno una "experience" più simile ai sistemi desktop
Copia/Incolla anche su dispositivi non touch-screen
Miglioramenti sulla gestione energetica
Setup dei dispositivi Bluetooth semplificato
altre migliorie

La disponibilità delle ROM aggiornate dipenderà comunque dai vari produttori di devices.

Aggiornamento ROM per l'HTC S710

L'HTC ha rilasciato da qualche giorno, l'aggiornamento ROM per il device S710.

L'aggiornamento è scaricabile gratuitamente dal'HTC e-club.
Nella news si legge:

Sono stati rilasciati oggi i Power Toys per il .NET Compact Framework 3.5.
Di seguito l'annuncio:

We've just released the final 3.5 version of the PowerToys for NetCF to the web.

You'll need to install the 3.5 NetCF runtime on your device to use these tools. For now, you can get the correct runtime by installing Visual Studio 2008. In a few weeks we hope to post a standalone install for NetCF 3.5.

The PowerToys release includes all the tools you need to diagnose issues in your .Net device applications, including the Remote Performance Monitor, CLR Profiler, the Logging Utility and more...
